I just can't wait for some of these movies!!
Hello Readers,
I have been reading one of my favorite movie news website, Sci Fi Wire, and I must say that I am really looking forward to some of these very fine movies that are coming up.
And who can forget Kate Beckinsale as Selene in Underworld! Well, get ready for more vampires-versus-werwolves action in Underworld 2
Well, those are just some of the movies that are getting into pre-production that I am glad to here about. Tell me what you think, hit the new updated tag-board.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King became the second film (after Titanic) to break the $1 billion worldwide box-office mark, the Reuters news service reported. New Line Cinema, which distributed the movie, also reported that King reached the mark in record time.
Return of the King now ranks as the second-highest-grossing film of all time, after 1997's Titanic, which rang up $1.8 billion in global receipts. But King crossed the 10-figure threshold in less time, getting there in fewer than 10 weeks from its Dec. 17 opening, compared with Titanic, which hit the billion-dollar mark at the start of its 11th week of release, Reuters reported.
Through Feb. 22, King had accumulated a worldwide total of $1,005,380,412 in ticket sales, New Line said. More than $361 million of that sum was generated at U.S. and Canadian box office, the news service reported.
All three Lord of the Rings films have now racked up combined receipts totaling nearly $2.8 billion globally, Reuters reported.
Who staked Angel? And didn't you just love Smile Time?
Well, I haven't been too happy with Genre television as some of you may know. And finally, I have calmed myself to the point of being able to make a decent blog entry regarding the cancellation of another favorite TV show of mine, Angel.
You know, what the hell has television become, just more reality crap because it is cheap and most people love to be peeping toms? WTF!! I will admit that some, I repeat only some, reality TV is good. I liked Joe Millionaire and The Apprentice, but another rerun of survivor? the bachelor? the bachelorette? Please... same shit different smiles.
And of course, speaking of smiles, did you check out the Smile Time episode of Angel? Holy Shit!! Let me tell you that one episode made up for almost all of last season!!! I personally wasn't a huge fan of the whole Conner story line and the big bad mother of all mosters being reborn, blah blah blah. I watched most of the season, but it was so dark and dreary it was hard to have a fun time.
This season has just been AWESOME!! I mean, that Halloween episode, the Submarine episode, and now we have Smile Time!! Wow!!
So the question ultimately is - why cancel a show when things are going so well? I mean WTF are they going to replace Angel with? Competitive Basket weaving on Mount Robson? Please, if you haven't already shown your support, visit RenewAngel.com.
Alias Rocks!! ...even though it wasn't on again tonight!
Hey everyone. So, I'm a big fan of Alias. You know, that Sunday night TV show about spies on ABC? If you like the show, and you like the song My Immortal by Evanescence then you really need to check out this video.
I know that Alias is on a funny schedule right now, on one week, off for two, but the link below might help to hold you over. And don't get me started with the stupid ass executives over at ABC who are in charge of the schedule, cause I would go to town - up one side of their ass, and down the other. REALLY! And network TV wonders why we aren't tuning into their shows!!!!! Like life ain't busy enough without having to add TV shows to your calendar cause they're not on a regular weekly schedule. Why is it called a weekly show if it is only on twice a month? WTF?
Sorry, back to my posting. I found this while browsing through the Alias messageboard over at ABC's website. Check out - http://truthtakestime.net/
And in the Media gallery, download Immortal. The video is home made, but MAN what quality. If features clips from the show featuring Sydney and Vaughn, with the no sound from the show, but timed to the Immortal song. Size 9 MB.
You should browse through the media library. I haven't yet, but I will be!
Hello Fellow Bloggers, let me tell you how blown away I've been by the free tracking utility I signed up for. In the bottom left pane of my blog you may notice the NedStat Basic icon. Well, I signed up for a free account with them and let me tell you, I can't believe the stats that little puppy generates! Wow!!
In fact, if your interested, you can click on the icon and visit my NedStat counter summary for yourself. Such a cool thing!! Wow!! And free of charge!! You can see how people linked into your site, what keywords they used, when they visited, where there ISP connection is from, browser, plug-ins, os, and more.
So, if you haven't tried a stats counter, sign-up an account for yourself.
If you follow developments in the world of web browser software, you may be aware that the latest trend is tabbed web browsing. Instead of having 5, 6, or more different windows opened at the same time, you have only one web browser window, and your sites are displayed in tabs that you can switch between.
Tabbed browsing helps to keep your taskbar from being over cluttered with too many windows. I'm an Internet Explorer user and I know that Microsoft has not pending releases that will be introducing this functionality. So, I found one that I really like, that has no spyware (that I am aware of), and that is free.
1. Internet Explorer integration - uses existing IE installed on your machine.
2. Tabbed Browsing.
3. Mouse Gestures - use your mouse movements to perform commands like switching between windows, opening new windows, and closing windows. It takes a little practice, but wow, no keyboard required!!
4. Groups - you can open multiple sites, and then save them as a named group. Once saved, you use the groups menu and select which named group you want to open. My IE 2 will then open all of the websites for you!!
Well, after many months of not posting, and having lost interest, I have made the time to return to publishing in my blog. So, I've given my template a face lift with something cool, a free template from Sony!! How's that for cool? Spiderman 2!!
I will be adding new items over the coming days, like my stats tracker, and a new tag-board. I'll be updating the Archive listing with a selection box and maybe some other items.
