Just back from my Calgary Road Trip
Hello readers of Blog of the Animal, I've recently returned from my trip to Calgary! I was out in mad-cow town teaching last week, hence the lack of updates. I've also been busy editing another VB .NET book, so not much spare time in the evenings.
Had a great end of summer party with a whole group of friends out at the acreage this past weekend. Our largest get together yet. We ate some food, played some games, rode the John Deere, and had an excellent time yapping around the newly discovered fire pit! Thanks to everyone for coming and for the gifts!!
And one more item for today's blog update, thanks to my good friend DArsenault.

Adult Content Ahead
The Awful Truth of Neil Armstrong's first words spoken after landing on the moon!
ALRIGHT!!! I haven't been this excited to see a movie in some time actually! I feel giddy like a little school girl!!
Slasher Flicks are gonna be big box office this fall! I don't remember a release schedule with so many horror / scary movies! It's gonna be great, and what better way than to kick it off with the biggest and baddest of them all - Freddy and Jason!!!!
See you in the dark theatre tonight!! Muahahahahahahah!!
No, No, and now she starts too. Oh the shame of it!!
Just read this over at SciFi Wire and can't believe it! Damn, is she gonna turn into another freaky, weirdo actress? I hope not!
Alias star Jennifer Garner's spokeswoman confirmed to Us Weekly widely circulated rumors that she is dating her leading man, Michael Vartan, according to a report on TV Guide Online. Garner split from her husband and ex-Felicity co-star, Scott Foley, last April, but Us reported that she and Vartan didn't start dating until Alias resumed production two weeks ago.
Well, I was watching another movie on my PVR late last night and noticed an add for the show Six Feet Under, which is going to be making it's premeire on ShowCase here in Canada on Sunday, August 24th, and I was wondering if anyone has watched the show and if it is good or not?
For all of you movie fans out there, you need to check out this website. Automatic Bad Movie Trailer Generator. Generate at least two different trailers. Very funny stuff. It has music too.
So my wife, Arie, and the gang checked out the move SWAT this Friday night!
Absolutely awesome movie! If you know what your going for of course. This action movie stars Collin Farrell, Samuel L. Jackson, LL Cool J, and Michelle Rodriguez. Check it out if you have time, and splurg for the large buttered popcorn!
Well as many readers of the Blog of the Animal know, content hasn't been very active on this page lately. True enough. I've been off most of the summer, but now I have a stable internet connection, via a shared satellite modem. The office in my new home has finally been setup and is a very usable space. Except for the heat up here in the loft, things are great.
So, for now, I have two goals for this blog.
One is an update / overhaul on the template functionality. This will hopefully include sections for content via DHTML and JavaScripting. I'm working on an updated contact page as a proof of concept for these dynamic sections. Does anyone have a template similar or know of a site like this? As well as a feedback system that I haven't even begun to research.
The second is to get some more content published. I have a huge swell of movie stuff to discuss and shit to Rant about. Some topics that I think will be greatly enjoyed!!
When will all of this activity begin to transpire you might ask? Well, I've kinda been playing, as you can tell by the updated Freddy VS Jason banner. The new template funcationality I'm designing isn't ready and I have 5 certification exams that I need to write before the end of September. So, all in good time.
Well, I've decided to do even more work on this template. Geez, I think I better think about selling this thing it is getting pretty fancy. I'm going to be adding sections to the blog, and then I am going to try and incorporate a feedback posting system of some type.
Which leads me to a question for all you bloggers out there. Does anyone have a feedback posting system they use that is free? If you do, please leave me a note on the tag board.
Look for more changes sometime late next week. In the mean time, I will start posting some more interesting content before then so you all have something to read.
