Movie Scoop From SciFi Wire

Garner's Elektra Film Confirmed

As expected, Alias star Jennifer Garner will reprise her Daredevil role of Elektra in an upcoming spinoff movie centered on the character, the Associated Press reported. Twentieth Century Fox and production partner Regency Enterprises told the AP that Garner will star as Elektra Natchios in the film, which will be set after events in Daredevil.

Though Garner's character appeared to die in Daredevil, the movie ended with a cryptic scene suggesting that she may have lived, the AP reported.

I say right on Jennifer!! Her first big screen movie - wooo hooo!! - Animal

Alias Renewed

ABC will renew Alias for a third season, ABC Entertainment president Susan Lyne announced on Feb. 26, according to the Zap2it Web site. The network was reportedly pleased that Alias has received a ratings bounce since its post-Super Bowl episode, drawing about a million viewers a week over its season average, the site reported.

Alias stars Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, a graduate student by day and reluctant spy for the CIA by night.

Clearly today is a really GREAT DAY for JG fans and Jennifer herself!! - Animal

Hartnett Drops Superman

Josh Hartnett, who tested for the lead role in the upcoming new Superman film, has dropped out, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A new trio of actors has emerged as top choices: The Mummy's Brendan Fraser, Timeline's Paul Walker and newcomer Matthew Bomer (TV's Guiding Light), the trade paper reported.

Warner Brothers is trying to make test deals for the actors, with hopes of putting them in front of the camera sometime next week, the trade paper reported.

No offense Josh, but THANK GOD your gone. Now my favorite pick might have a chance. Evan Marriott!! Come on, if he isn't Superman, I don't know who is. And don't tell me Tom Welling, cause he is clearly Super Boy!!! - Animal

Request for blogging related information

Well, Animal has truly enjoyed the blogging experience so far. However, I am in search of something more. I'm looking for feedback from everyone on three items.

1. Does anyone use the Blogger Pro service? And how do you like it, really?

2. Does anyone publish an RRS feed of their blog? And if so, what do you use to generate the RRS feed?

3. Does anyone use an RRS reader to subscribe to other blogs? And if so, which reader?

If you have feedback on these items, please feel free to leave me a tag. If it is more detailed, let me know and I can pass my email address on.

Thanks in advance subjects from the Blogsphere!! Live long and blog!!

Bronchitis takes hold of the Animal

Well, happy Tuesday I think. It's late and I'm just getting ready for bed. I thought that I would do a quick post before I retire for the night.

I discovered yesterday that my health problems have all been attributed to Bronchitis. So, I guess I'm glad it's not pneumonia, but it's only one step away. My Dr. gave me some good drugs, Amoxacillian to kill the evil germs that cause Animal pain!!!!

And a special thanks to all of my taggers who brought me soup, tea, and the kitchen sink. ;-)

So for now, it's back to bed, get some more rest, and try and get myself back into the office grind tomorrow morning.

Blog needs a new name?

Perhaps I should just call this my personal health blog!! What the hell. It looks like I might have another lung infection, so updates will be scattered over the next few days.

Argg, it better not be pneumonia again, cause I'd just freak right out!!!!

New Blog Template Removed

Well, I tried the collapsable content idea and I'm not sure I liked it. I've kept the original sample in-line just for reviewing and in case anybody thought it was cool enough to use.

Killer Migraine Prevents Wednesday Blog Update

Sorry there were no updates yesterday. I was on the phone all afternoon, had a late meeting with the bank, and then did some patch work on our walls at home.

I think the spakle gives me headaches. I did the work before dinner, had some 'Za and watch Enterprise but ended up with a killer migraine. In fact it was so bad I thought I was Arie!! I was even feeling REALLY sick to my stomach and that was after a two hour nap. I did the frozen peas and hot cloth routine to get it under control before crashing for the rest of the night.

And speaking of ice cream...

You know, this blogging thing is pretty cool. However, all I want to do now is blog. It's so easy I'm thinking of starting a techie blog and maybe even a group movie blog for the ASP with multiple contributors!! Ah the power of technology. I even want to rant about politics!!! Perhaps in another posting.

Back to work, I'm getting ready for a big client meeting where I need to down a load of Sushi!!! Ewwwww. Oh well, something different anyway.

Speaking of Extra Extra, Oh No what is the future of Blogger?

If you haven't already heard the news, blogger.com has been purchased by google.com.

Now don't get me wrong, Google has done great things lately. Have you checked out google news yet? It is perhaps the BEST news website on the Internet now.

Perhaps it will be a good purchase, but one has to wonder?

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

I have a friend at work who has just recently turned Pro on the woman's boxing scene. She works in our accounting department as a bill collector. ;-)

She's fighting this Friday in Toronto. It's her second professional fight so check out Jo-Anne's video and let's all wish her good luck. Knock her out Champ!! Oh, she's also dating the other boxer in the video!!

Joe Millionaire Update

Well, I'm glad to post that I was totally wrong about it all! Evan apparently had the sense and brain power to get ride of the last true gold digger. And Zora won!!!! Yes!!! Both my wife and I really liked Zora but were doubtful she would make the cut!

And for those who don't know the ending, they were both awarded $1 Million Dollars as their shared prize for finding true love! Ah, the fairy tail ends yet another fine chapter in reality tv.

As for why I'm posting in the middle of the daytime. Well, that's easy. After three weeks on the road I have accumulated some travel time, and therefore, I took the day off.

Joe Millionaire Update

Well, tonight is the finale of Joe Millionaire. Tonight is some big surprise twist ending, which it dam well better be after last weeks bull-shit teaser of a show that did nothing but recap the entire show run. Come on, they could have a least showed scenes we never saw. Arggg!!! Dam hollywood producers.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the twist is, but I have a few ideas that I thought I would document in my blog.

What I think will happen...
1. Evan is going to pick Sarah, but then she'll flip him the bird when he tells her the truth.
2. Zora will then decide to go with Evan even though she wasn't picked. But then, she'll dump his ass once she realizes he may have done it with Sarah in the bushes.
3. And my best guess is that Evan and MoJo will have gotten hooked up cause she really didn't give a rat's ass about his dam money and was the only woman there who wanted him to learn all about her life and actually liked him for who he is, regardless of the money.

What I don't believe will happen is...
1. Evan is not a really a millionaire.
2. None of the women are really millionaire's either.
3. No one will be choosing Paul instead of Evan. ;-)

So there you have it. My Joe Millionaire results before the final episode airs tonight. Hopefully you will enjoy the show as much as me and my wife will tonight.

Happy belated Valentine's Day to everyone out there!

My blog hasn't been updated lately due to the fact that I just returned home from three weeks on the road.

My lovely wife and I celebrated valentine's day all weekend! It was great! Friday night after I got home, we exchanged gifts. I got a chocolate heart with fuzzy peaches inside, Footloose on DVD, and tickets to Footloose the musical (which was dam good!).

For my wife, I gave her 1 dozen long stem roses, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and a picture frame with a love poem.

Week Three, Day Four in Regina. Weather was a little warmer today, but the wind was cold.

Day 17 away from home. Man am I tired of being away. I would give just about anything to be home right now!! Tomorrow is Valentine's day and I'm not home until 9:00 pm, if my flight is on time.

Watched SW - EPII last night. Deleted scenes were cool. Too tired to watch the whole movie so tonight I have the last hour to finish. I like blogging, but I'm just too tired to do more work on the site right now. I'd like to do a tag board and enhance the design. Someday. Mind you, I don't know if anybody is even reading it so who cares?

That's it. Back to the hotel for one last night!!!!!!

Week Three, Day Two in Regina. Brutal wind chill yesterday. When is it going to warm up!!

Last night after teaching all day I joined some new friends for drinks and supper after work at the FreeHouse. We had a great time talking technology, movies, and some politics.

And speaking of movies, we came to an agreement last night that Hollywood trailers need to be improved. My biggest pet peeve is trailers that use music that isn't in the movie, or even on the soundtrack! What's up with that? (Remember the Starship Troopers trailer with Blur Song 2?)

And of course, trailers that spoil the movie, trailers that show the best scenes in a movie, or trailers with scenes that don't even make it into the movie! Perhaps Hollywood should spend more time developing trailers and find out what audiences like before investing millions of dollars into the production process.

Well, another day in Regina. I ended up doing some consulting for a client of my client's, Sask Health. All went well.

Watched Joe Millionaire and couldn't believe they didn't reveal who he was gonna pick! Argg. Have to wait until next week I guess.

So that's the kind of day it was yesterday. Today has started off cold and sunny, perhaps a good day awaits.

Well, that's about it! I made a number of slight adjustments to my template and I am calling it a night.

I did the hot tub tonight in my hotel. Again, another very quite and peaceful night at the Ramada.

Welcome to the beginning of The Blog of The Animal!

I started this blog after reading blog's from a number of Microsoft people. Then, I also found out my sister had a blog, so then I needed one for sure!

I'm not sure if this blog will work, if I'll keep it updated, etc. etc. etc. Time will tell!
